Sarah started hula hooping in 2013 and set out to receive her Hoopnotica teaching certification April of 2014. Later she earned her Hoop/Yoga Fusion teacher course in Sept 2016 and Foundations of AcroYoga Jan. 2020.
As a hoop dancer Sarah (aka Sarah Supernova) has performed at various events. She performed at the Ice Castles in WI Dells and even appeared in a RARE MOB music video. She was invited as a RAW artist performer and vendor in Minneapolis, MN in 2015. She is also a trained and fully insured fire performer and performs individually and with her fire troupe, Lakeside Luminaries. Sarah’s fire props of choice are the fire hoop, fire staff, fire dragon staff and fire eating. She also does LED hoop shows.
Sarah has taught adult and children’s hoop dance classes through the Sheboygan and Plymouth Rec Departments as well as at In Motion Dance studio. She currently teaches hoop, acro and aerials at Warped Studios.
She has also taught various workshops for girlscout troupes, local events, benefits and for local hoopers.
Sarah has also taught at flow arts events such as the Michigan Hoop Retreat (2016 & 2017, 2018, 2019), PlayThink (2018 & 2019) and Frostbite Flow Arts Camp (2017 & 2018) which she is also the event manager for.
